Custom Umbrella Manufacturing FAQ

HF Umbrella is a custom umbrella manufacturer in China. We have manufactured umbrellas since 1987 and serve brands, distributors, museums, universities, hotels, retailers and promotional companies worldwide. Our team supports projects from design review and sampling through production, inspection and delivery.

Our production and printing facilities are located in and around Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. Buyers are welcome to arrange a factory visit in advance.

Yes. We manage umbrella structure selection, printing, canopy preparation, assembly, quality control and packing. Some specialised components may be sourced from approved partners, while HF Umbrella remains responsible for the agreed specifications and final inspection.

We mainly work with B2B buyers, including retail brands, promotional agencies, museums, universities, hotels, golf organisations, corporate procurement teams and umbrella distributors. We do not provide traditional dropshipping or consumer retail services.

Our main categories include folding umbrellas, straight umbrellas, golf umbrellas, promotional umbrellas, fashion umbrellas, children’s umbrellas and outdoor umbrellas. We recommend a suitable structure based on the intended use, quantity, budget, artwork and delivery deadline.

Our MOQ starts from 25 pieces for selected umbrella styles. The exact MOQ depends on the frame, fabric, printing method, number of designs and level of customisation. Fully bespoke components or specially dyed materials normally require a higher quantity.

Please provide the umbrella style or intended use, quantity, number of designs, artwork, preferred colours, destination, required delivery date and any special packaging requirements. If you are unsure about the structure, tell us your target budget and application, and we will recommend suitable options.

Yes. We recommend a custom sample for projects where colour, printing, structure or finishing must be approved before mass production. The sample allows you to check the canopy, frame, handle, print, colour and packaging.

Sample costs depend on the umbrella model, printing method, artwork and custom components. Courier charges are normally paid by the buyer. For some bulk orders, part or all of the sample cost may be credited after the order is confirmed; this will be stated in the quotation.

Custom samples normally take 3–5 working days after the artwork, colours and specifications are confirmed. Special moulds, custom handles, complex structures or unusual materials may require additional time.

Vector artwork in AI, CDR or editable PDF format is preferred. For photographic full-canopy printing, we recommend artwork of at least 200 DPI at approximately 100 × 100 cm or larger. Please include Pantone colour references when colour accuracy is important. You can also use our umbrella artwork template.

Yes. Please provide Pantone Solid Coated references where possible. For colour-critical projects, a physical colour sample is more reliable than a screen image. We confirm the colour during sampling, but slight differences can occur between materials and printing processes.

We offer silk-screen printing, full-canopy digital printing, dye-sublimation printing and transfer printing. Branding can also be applied to sleeves, straps, labels, handles and packaging. The best method depends on the artwork, fabric, quantity, colour requirements and budget.

Yes. We can sign a non-disclosure agreement before reviewing confidential artwork, product concepts or technical files. Customer designs are used only for the agreed project and are not shared with third parties without authorisation.

Bulk production normally takes 10–20 working days after sample approval and receipt of the agreed deposit. Complex designs, custom components, specially dyed fabric and large-volume orders may require additional time. We confirm the production schedule before the order begins.

We confirm specifications against the approved sample and check materials, printing, canopy alignment, stitching, assembly, opening and closing, workmanship, packing and order quantity. Inspection requirements can be agreed before production, including AQL-based inspection when requested.

Please send clear photos, videos and affected quantities promptly. We compare the evidence with the approved sample, specifications and agreed quality standard, investigate the cause and propose an appropriate solution based on the verified issue.

Payment terms depend on the order value, customisation and customer history. Standard orders normally require a deposit before production, with the balance paid before shipment. The exact terms are stated clearly in our quotation and proforma invoice.

Yes. We can arrange courier, air freight, sea freight and door-to-door delivery to many destinations. We recommend the shipping method after reviewing the quantity, destination, budget and required delivery date.

That depends on the agreed Incoterms, destination and shipping service. Some door-to-door quotations include duties and taxes, while others do not. The quotation will state clearly what is included so there are no hidden assumptions.

Yes. RPET canopy fabric and other responsible material options are available for suitable umbrella models. Certification scope varies by material and supply chain, so please tell us which environmental claim or document your project requires before sampling.
